Kayangan Lake or Cayangan Lake can be found in the Coron, Palawan. It is surrounded with rocky mountain composed of limestone and clothed with mangrove forests. The lake has been considered as the cleanest lake in the Philippines and in Asia by many tourists that have visited the place. It is one of Coron’s primary attractions.

Accessible by a steep 10-minute climb, the crystal-clear waters of Lake Kayangan are nestled into the mountain walls; underwater is like a moonscape. You can actually clearly see the bottom of the lake that is so clean especially in the morning where the sun is up. Tourists say that by just gazing at the lake and its surroundings, it will fill you with the feeling of satisfaction and awe. Whether you are a savvy traveller or just a normal guy that wants to be refreshed away from the noise of the city, this majestic nature is surely a solution to that.

There is a little wooden walkway and platform to stash your things if you go for a swim. Do not expect privacy or quiet, though, as the lagoon where bangkas unload passengers looks like a mall parking lot at noon.

You can ride a raft and take a soft sailing cruise in the lake. Or you may also enjoy diving in the lake. If you have your snorkeling gears, this is the perfect place to do snorkeling since the waters are clear so you can have a better eye view.

Other than that, many tourists climb up the rocky mountain around 150 foot steps to see a good view. The above view is awesome that most of the pictures of Kayangan Lake are top views. Don’t worry, you don’t have to trek that 150 foot step with a rocky hill, there is a concrete steps.
